Shimmer

Program Note:
“Shimmer” is a piece depicting a calm and sparkling body of water, with a twinkling sunlight reflection on the surface. The beginning back and forth motif permeates and develops throughout the work, reaching a slight moment of calm before building and eventually returning to the original idea. This work additionally draws inspiration from the meticulously crafted solo works of Thomas Ades by the manner in which interplaying tuplets and rhythms clash and combine with a general fluid shaping.
