For Clarinet in Bb, Harp and Violin (2021)
Program Note:
Over the last year, many of us have found ourselves living much more introverted lifestyles than usual due to the current situation of our time. Personally, I am fortunate to have friends and family to converse with who care about me and are always willing to lend an ear. However, I find it easy at this point in time for want simply to detach ourselves from the world and the various events by which we are plagued. This piece alternates swiftly between tense and restless moments and calmness, reflecting our emotions and how malleable we are to match our surroundings. I attempt to capture each of our inner struggles, as we go forward alternating between fear and hope.
